Meeting the Rolex CEO!

Hey Guys,

Just got a picture message from my friend who just now met Gian Riccardo Marini! at a restaurant in Geneva!!!!!

For those of you who don't know he is the CEO of Rolex !

They were at dinner and he was wearing a Vintage Daytona Black Dials, think it may have been a Paul Newman? Don't quote me on that!

Anyways my friend cheekily asked him for a discount on a Rolex!

He explained ''The price of a Rolex is painful once, but you will forget about it, its beauty will last forever.''

Thought this would be a good one to share!

Pic will follow soon!

Was he having dinner WITH him or just saw him in the restaurant?

I really like that quote, it's reminds me of Rolls Royce and is so true. It's a lot of money but one of the few things we can use for life and pass onto someone after.

Ps. Great post and thanks for sharing! I guess I would never even have recognized him so the fact your friend did is amazing in itself.

The price of a Rolex is painful every 5-7 years.

... and you don't even get the old parts back.

Nice story, but you should have asked why they don't return your old dial or at least offer to pay for it when you want to buy a new one? That's pain that will never go away.

Sure you will Ken, just look for a midget sized guy with a button downed shirt.

PS. When you do don't forget to disturb him while having dinner with stupid Rolex questions.
