I don't understand this.

I've had my Explorer (216570) now for about a year and a half. Had to send it in RSC Toronto over a year ago to be regulated. Within COSC standards after I got it back but otherwise nothing special. I reset the time two weeks ago (using time.gov) & just checked it this morning. I don't think it's even a half a second off!

I'm not complaining, I love it! But why the sudden uber-accuracy?

Excellent!! Bought my new 216570 last September and had it regulated because it was +7s/day. It was then consistently +1s/day and I was quite pleased. Just for fun, leaving it in various positions overnight seemed to have no effect. About a month ago I started wearing it 24/7 and now it's consistently 0.3s/day, actually slightly less. I check it every seven days and it gains two seconds. Some folks will tell you that watches "settle in" depending upon the owner's activity and wearing habits.

I recently had my sub serviced by a highly recommended indy watchmaker. He showed me the tape produced by his machine...it was dead on. I am losing about 5 seconds per day. I hope that it will improve, but I realistically know that it won't. It's not a big deal, but it's annoying to have to reset it after leaving it on a winder all week! My everyday, beater TAG quartz, of course, never needs to be reset!
