Icon5 Quick Q on a DD 18238.

Hey all. I've always love a YG DD with a white roman face. I'm shopping for one now, and see a few from reputable sellers with gold day and date wheels. I'm thinking these were gold dialed watches that had a face swap. I'd expect them to have white day/date wheels if they were bought new. Is this correct?

I don't mind a a face switch, but if they came with white wheels, I'd expect a swap from say a champaign face to include the proper dial swaps as well.

Am I right on this reference and the wheel color? Thanks for the help. Looking forward to scoring the right watch.

i agree with you. but remember: back in the day, a dial swap is a dial swap - even at RSC. i doubt most people would pay more to get white wheels when the gold ones work just fine.

having said that, white wheels go with any dial and look better, IMO. plenty of DDs and DD dials out there, so just keep looking.
