Not sure how to put this tactfully but do you really want to spend PP level money on quartz piece? Don't get me wrong the 24 looks amazing but it would have been great if it had a mechanical movement.

Given the significance of this piece to you, not sure how serviceable a quartz watch would be years down the road. I also presume it will eventually become an family heirloom piece? So for me my choice would be to find a mechanical option. Just my two cents.

I prefer the ALS combo the best. Rolex combo is also a great pair.
Realize initially you are looking at square models and if you stick to that, I think JLC offers the most diversity of choices for putting a pair together.
That ALS pairing sure is special

A few of the ladies I met on my trip to Patek were wearing 24s. Patek will service them for forever.

I'd be thinking more about the 5124 and how great it is.

Definitely.

After 25 years push the boat out. She deserves it!

Not a time a save a few dollars at a grey dealer IMO.

Had a chance to take the wife for a look at these options and, to my surprise, she really liked the Little Lange 1 in pink gold (actually, they don't have the Little Lange 1 available in Japan yet so she tried the Little 1 to get a feel for the style and size). I was pleasantly surprised by this as we have both only had white metal watches thus far and I wouldn't mind adding a little color in my own collection either. Plus, I don't have a Lange yet and this would get me another brand in the collection without any double-up.

Thoughts on this combo?

You can't go wrong with the Lange 1. I'd pair RG Lange 1 with the new Little Lange 1.

Stephen, if you add that Lange 1, please immediately get a paid review.

You are going to break that rating scale.

I think it would be best if you two go out and pick your own. I believe in personal taste when it comes to watches and you don't want to get her something she won't like for your anniversary.

4948r and 5327j. We were seriously considering the lange's, but she loved the mother of pearl dial on this one!
