Real or Fake

My friend's cousin just lost his job. He is in need of money quick and wants to sell me his watch for the same retail price he paid $12,400. Watch is two month old.

Please help me identify if this beautiful white dial Daytona ceramic is real or fake. I have till Sunday to pay him.

Thanks in advance

Hardly abundant photos - but I believe that is genuine.
Nothing glaring I can see.
BUT at 2 months old - I would expect box and papers!! Check them too.

Looks ok but need more photo's.

As well as box and papers I'd also ask to see the original receipt of the AD where it was purchased and verify it with them.

Or what?

As mentioned, the watch in that picture looks OK, but I'd want to see more pics first, including shots that prove the watch is in his possession (have him send you a shot of the watch with a specific time set).
If he is the original purchaser and it's only 2 months old, it should be a complete set with his name on the warranty card (or at the very least, the AD stamp and date of purchase).

If you actually move forward with a purchase, just make sure that the watch you receive in person is the same watch that was photographed.

First get all the papers, box and most important receipt.

if he does not have receipt, meet him at the ROLEX Dealer, and they can inspect.

Then, if Needs money Quik. There is a price for fast money and it's called DIscount!

Offer him 10,000 cash...

If its only 2 months old, surely a quick trip to the AD that supplied the watch with the original purchase receipt would sort this out.

Or if the OP's cousin lives out of town, get him to email a copy of the original receipt and contact them yourself to verify its legit.

Not exactly rocket science is it, surely???

If he paid retail, that means he got it at an AD that knows him. Should not be a problem to verify purchase. Also a pic of clasp would help.

So what happened?

Why did this guy buy a very expensive watch where if he lost his job he would have to sell it immediately.

Odd...

what else is new

Always ask for tag photos to prove watch belonging to seller, and seller's reference / ID / passport

Scams are happening everyday, I was almost scam last week by a very smart Nigerian scammer at WUS!

Bang on the money. Looks to be a 116520 with aftermarket bezel and dial.
