Blue, if you can swing it.

Otherwise, black.

Blue would be my first choice if you can swing it, otherwise black dial.

Is the blue dial substantially more expensive?

The blue dial is a boutique exclusive so depending on where the OP is planning to buy from (boutique, AD or grey), he may find more and better pricing on the black vs blue dial.

It really depends on the reference. For the 41mm 15400/26320, blue looks the best. On the 37mm 15450, the silver looks much better than the black dial. Last but not least, in the 15300/26300 reference, I much prefer the white dial.

I know Blue is the best of all...and the waiting period is 8-10 months. So I'm thinking to buy the 41mm (black or white ) now then order and wait for extra thin 39mm Blue dial...

I think it's pretty redunant to have a 15400 and 15202 in the same collection, regardless of dial color, but that's just me.

Black 15400 is what I chose due to availability and discount. I don't regret it one bit. Blue is the favorite here it always seems.

If you are stuck in the black vs white dilemma, AP has added a fourth option: gray 15400. I, guessing those won't be discounted anytime soon and I hope they aren't boutique exclusive.

Own black and white RO. The white dial is dressier and black is sportier

I was ready to go with the white dial but the more I compared the black and white I decided to go with the black, because for me it had more legibility.

The white dial definitely sparkles more buy I find the black has more depth and character in that it changes colour depending on light.

All the best.

Personal preference but black 15400 for me - once is on the wrist, it's surprisingly more elegant n can match any attire better
