Can this happen to an original dial - failed reprint?

Bit of a wierd one!
Browsing through auctions and came across this!

https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/a...b-a70700cbaf6f

Can this really happen? if not, i'm guessing this belongs in the watch out section!

I'm nervous about these William George auctions. Any history there good or bad?

I knew a lot of so called "patrizzi" dials were home made! I mean, heard for years about guys putting the dials in ovens and so on... lol

Not bought anything from them i'm afraid. In general i've had a lot of luck with auctions in the uk (not rolex related).
I have pointed out to a few auction houses i've had dealings with, that their watches were fake, one had sold an omega for £800+ they let the buyer know... they voided the auction and he emailed me to say thanks.
In most cases tho if you've bought something.....you've bought it!

Idk, after seeing what some of these custom dialed pvd coated "limited edition" watches have been selling. I'm sure someone will buy it. It's the Dali Daytona. Worth 5k premo now.

Maybe it's for Salvadore Dali enthusiasts?
