Should I buy an AP 26320st? Whats your opinion of the 26320st?
Hi,
What's your opinion of the 26320st? Has anyone owned it and traded it in for something else? or Would you keep it forever? Its obviously a great watch in all ways possible....but what is it lacking?...I want the nitty gritty on this watch. The watch is not cheap, that's why I want to get some opinions before I buy it. |

Great looking watch. IMO, the best looking chrono on the market. However I found the 41mm a tad too large for my wrist. I have owned the rg ROC 26320 on strap and ss ROC, both with the black dial, but just never felt comfortable with the size. The 39mm 26300 is a much better fit for my 7" wrist.

I am with Ken here. Beautiful reference but I think the 39mm ROC has better proportions and sat better on my wrist.

I liked my RG but sold it and eventually got the RG 44 which is my ultimate AP.

I wouldn't keep the regular ROC forever. Well maybe actually since it is the best looking steel chrono.
But the lack of in house movement and display caseback really annoy me. I'd say once they add those it's worthy to kept. |

I find it to be a great watch, nice weight, date feature is helpful and the chrono pushers feel the best compared to my others. It's gets rotated as dictated by my mood, whenever I wear it I feel a sense of occasion. Agreed that it's expensive since you can get a pm watch for roughly the same price. The in house movement is not as important to me, look at the Daytona the zenith movement costs more on the used market. I also don't care about the case back as I rarely look at the movement. I have several others w open backs and I only looked when I actually got the watches... It's nice but for me a novelty. I have been very happy w mine. Good luck w your decision

And for other comments above, on the contrary I find the slim 41mm size as almost perfect

Because for the price they charge it should be in-house. And have a display case back.

And it's not that there's anything wrong with the current movement (or anything that I would care about anyways), it's just that at this price point, I think it should have those features. And the thought of AP producing a newer version containing those features anytime in the near future, makes my mind wonder to the considerable value drop in the current model. I know that I would want one of the new ones and that would require moving the old version to acquire it. Taking that hit would cause me heartburn that I just simply don't want to deal with. So for me, I'm on the sidelines for now. The moment they make a 26320 with the discussed upgrades, I'll likely buy it right away. It's an amazingly beautiful reference for sure. |

You cant go wrong with ROC but as others have said, the 39mm wears much better on my wrists than the 41mm...good luck!
