New to me 5513

I was given this 5513 Maxi Mk1 as a gift. It came from a reputable watch dealer so I know it is in tip top shape now. What do I need to know as far as care for this classic? I have owned newer watches but this is my first 40 year old watch.

How does one get on this gift list? Awesome! Wear it. Others more informed than I can give you better advice but what are you referring to as far as "care" goes? If it has had a recent service and pressure test I should think you're good to go.

Looks great! Congratulations! If it has been pressure tested and serviced, care for it as any other watch.

Yes I agree it's good to go now. I mean how do you keep a 40 year old watch going? How often should it be serviced? I know I shouldn't let anyone polish it. When I'm not wearing it should I keep it wound or let it stop. I'll take any pointers.

Wore it to an event I had tonight. Loved it.

Lucky dog

If you don't have a service history, I'd see how well it keeps time and have it pressure tested. You could opt for a service if it's not running well

Send it to a vintage expert if it needs service.
