Patek Calatrava 5119

The one with the enamel dial. Is rose gold the only choice or can you get it in yellow gold? Anyone have one? Comments? Pictures?

Or is the 5116 R the one with the enamel dial?

5116R is enamel. 5119 is lacquered.

It is a beautiful watch! I got to try it on at the AD last year. If you are looking for a simple Calatrava with an enamel dial, I think it is worth a few thousand extra $/€/£ to get the 5116 vs the 5119.

Patek made the reference 5115 with an enamel dial before replacing it with the 5116. The 5116G is also nice if you like white metal, although you would need to look for it in the pre-owned market.

I hobnobbed with the hobnails in NYC today. I tried on a 5116R (enamel face, rose gold bezel) and a 5120 (yellow gold, no second hand). Extrapolating from my experience, my preference is for a 5119J ( lacquer face, yellow gold bezel, sub seconds).

5119J is an excellent choice for a classic Calatrava. I have seen several Patek AD salespeople wearing one.

Keep in mind that the 5119 is a manual wind compared to the 5120 being an automatic.

I have a manual wind Nomos and I had a manual wind Panerai and they are OK with me. Thanks for pointing it out, though. I think the winding mechanism is like butter.
