41mm RO or 41mm ROC?

I don't think anyone has made a thread on this. Which would you choose between the 2 designs?

Could be any variation of either as long as it's 41mm. Also compare apples to apples. Don't compare a RG ROC to an SS RO.

I am a huge chrono fan so there is no question for me. I just purchased the ROC pride of italy and love it. The other model I really like is the boutique only blue. I think in the end some feel the ROC dial is too busy --- but I tend to like busy as long as laid out well and clearly the case here.

I like the RO or ROO, ROC is a bit too inbetween for me (unless the all RG ROC).

My vote goes to the RO, I have no desire for the chrono. I don't like busy dials.

I would go with the chrono. If I was getting a 3-hander, it would be the jumbo

I had the ROC but would probably go for the blue 400 now, one chrono is enough for me. But in UK with no boutique and a price rise imminent it's not appealing.

I went for a RO because frankly I have no desire for a chrono, HOWEVER (all caps so you know I'm excited ;) this was announced this year and I am flat out smitten...

I agree that I wished the ROC also had an open case back.

Love the ROC, but always hesitate because of the closed case back. There are a couple of models introduced in the last two years I would really like to own.

Voted ROC, but with the more balanced outgoing model in mind. If we're talking about the recent SIHH releases, non chrono takes the cake, imo.

I have to agree with you on this actually...I'm partial to non chrono watches BUT AP chronos, especially the ROO, I wouldn't mind owning and/or purchasing. And when I saw this novelty from SIHH I wet my pants lol

I didn't even know the chronos didn't have an open case back, it goes to show how much I don't bother with chronos that kind of puts me off them again after saying what I just did lol do'h!

We are talking any of the RO/ROC 41mm whether new or old.

I am actually surprised the ROC is beating the RO in this vote. I expected the in house movement and display caseback of the RO to beat the ROC. Seems like people don't care that much about it.

Exactly why I made a distinction in my post. They are different, and one is significantly less desirable, imo.

You mean new vs old ROC one is significantly less desirable? You talking about the old ones or the new ones this year at SIHH?

I think the new ones released are better than the older ones.

I see the previous version of the ROC as more balanced than the new ROC releases that came out at this year's SIHH, as I dislike the small six o'clock counter which was introduced. Tastes will vary, of course.

I agree they should have kept the dimensions the same on the sub dials. But I like the contrasting colors. I think the black dial with silver sub dials is the best one.

I didn't like the all black, all white, look. The contrast looks nice, but they kinda ruined it with the different sized sub dials.

The panda and reverse panda dials are indeed very nice. Too bad they felt the need to fiddle with the dial's symmetry.

I see what you mean on the all white/black dials, but they were very elegant watches, in my view.

AP ROC for sure. Love having an extra complication. Especially the new ones coming out.

Off topic but has anyone noticed on AP website the white face chrono has some texture on the black sub dials, but when I look at the in person pictures there doesn't seem to be anything there.

Like they have a circle engraving on the sub dials.

I actually like the new ROC sundial configuration very much. To me, it looks very balanced.
