I don't own any nato straps, but I have been told the 'Everest' straps are easier to put on the watch.

I bought a Rubber B for my GMTc LN last week. So far I'm a big fan of it. One piece of info... the spring bars on the bracelet didn't work with the Rubber B so they put slimmer ones in the Rubber B. Same width, smaller diameter. Also they had to bend the spring bars slightly to get them in properly. Frankly I thought it was a lot of work based on what others have said about Rubber B. But I'm glad I went to a place that sells the straps and had them install or I may never have gotten it attached. And yes they gave me the new spring bars and I kept the ones that fit the bracelet.

Everest and RubberB are the big players in the rubber strap space for Rolexes. Many threads on the pros and cons of each.

I have Everest and Rubber b. All variations of leather, rubber deployant/tang buckle.
1) never had 1 issue putting it on and DEFINITELY didn't have to bend spring bars like mentioned earlier. 2) I have read the dssd is harder to put on vs a sub. 3) rubber b on my 116515LN you have to cut to size AND put a notch in the rubber for a spot on the clasp. On my 216570 the ez link goes away and swapping back to oyster is difficult. But only rubber b makes rubber for those models. Overall Everest is softer and easier to set up. Good luck! |

I used Everest on my 114060. First time doing it myself took me 10 minutes. Left the Rolex spring bars installed.

I use my Rolex springbars with my straps. It's just a piece of mind thing for me. I had an AD order two sets for me to keep as extras. They were not terribly expensive and they arrived in a week.

I had a black Everest rubber strap with Deployant on my Explorer 1 for about a month before I put it back on the bracelet. Then I put the rubber strap on my GMT BLNR for about 2 months before swapping it back to the bracelet.
Although the watches were very comfortable and had a sportier look with the rubber, the Rolex bracelets are first class and give the watches a much more enduring look. Good fun to try em out though! |

Gotcha, I just thought the spring bars that come with the everest were specifically designed for the strap. I didn't think it made sense and you should just use the Rolex spring bars because they are probably better / stronger. Just glad I wasn't the only one else thinking that

I installed the Everest strap with tang buckle in 15 minutes (and I'm a novice). It is very comfortable and keeps the PCL's on my TT bracelet new. I switch it out for special occasions. Adds a sporty look, and keeps my Bluesy under the radar.

I have the rubber b for the dssd and was about to put it up for sale. Personally while I think it fits the watch perfectly and looks great, I could not get the right fit. Either too tight or too loose.
Let me know if interested. |

Rubber Straps

Well the Everest spring bars are good quality and what not. I noticed the Rolex spring bars are just easier made to remove and install. They seem better and studier. So that's why I used them instead of Everest ones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Anyone tried the new Horus straps for Rolex? I love the snow camo ones they make for ROOs, but not sure how they'd look on a ceramic Sub.

I sometimes run my Everest band on my 114060. I actually put it on for the first time in awhile last night and forgot how comfortable it is.
I too used the stock OEM Rolex Spring bars that came with the watch. The Everest band came with spring bars, but the part that actually goes into the lug holes on the Everest spring bars are smaller in diameter than the OEM ones, and I prefer the "perfect" fit of the OEM ones inside the lug holes. EDIT* Just realized that my avatar shows the Everest band. |

DSSD is 21mm. I use 22mm NATO on mine and works well. The small extra width helps to stabilize the weight of it. They should have made the lugs 22 in my opinion.

Love mine!
I recommend that you go to the best (Rubber B) because so your not getting ripped off.
I have my DSSD on a Rubber B strap since around 3 years. As soon as I can get the new Deep Blue Dial, I'm going to put it on the awesome new black/green strap from Rubber B like their pic... Last edited by Chrisminus 6; 10 March 2017 at 05:55 AM.. Reason: sounds nicer. |
