New rolex scratch protection?

Hello, just got my first datejust
Really excited even I afraid to remove all the protective wrapping (only its date cyclops removed)

My question is, is there any way to coat / protect its steel and crystal from wear (ex. scratches)?
(Like clear protective plastic film for cars body)

I watch product called protectpax, is it available yet?
Or other suggestions on other products?

First, Congrats on your watch. Show us some pix so we can admire it.

Second, remove the stickers, its a breeding ground for bacteria and some nasty stuff. Believe me.

Lastly, I havent heard anything such as plastic wraps for watches.
I suggest you enjoy your DJ in all its naked glory.

Congrats on your new DJ! Enjoy and wear in good health.

Check it out:

Works wonders but hard to put on. I put a clear bra on every watch I own and also our couch and love seat.

Scratches are inevitable; you won't truly enjoy your watch if you are constantly worrying about it. Wear and enjoy!

Congrats

Don't worry about scratches. In any case, at service time your watch will be returned to almost as-new condition.

Normal routine wearing scratches are a fact or wearing, either get over that fact or leave your watch in its box. But then not much point in buying a Rolex watch in the first place.Normal wearing scratches are best left to normal routine service time only, when those nice people at the RSC will service and polish your watch as new.

It is not even worth owning a Rolex if you are afraid to wear it. Just enjoy it and don't worry about it getting beat up, it's just a watch after all.

Great watch nice choice congrats !

Have to concur with what I believe will be the consensus here and say, get the stickers off and start enjoying it ! First few scratches are the worst may as well get it over and done with.

U r kidding right? There is no way to put this on watches without causing crease, with all the bends and corners. Maybe a clear coating of nail polish might work as protective surface.

You have a plastic covered watch ? Why remove to put more on ? Love the watch it will look much better with out and covering on it let it breath. Retake picture when it's undressed. Happy days well done on lovely watch.

You are not serious right?

Aren't you embarrassed to go out with a watch wrapped in plastic film like that? Is this even remotely a viable option for you?

Safest way is to put it in its factory coffin and attach to the wrist via an elastic band.

Also i am glad and relieved there are more OCD people than myself as i thought i was the worst.

On a serious note you should not get yourself that worried just enjoy your watch Lisa.

Wearing it with sticker intact look ackward! Minor scratches are inevitable. You'll get used to it.

Wear it and enjoy it. You're a long time dead and you never know when your numbers up.

Never understood this perspective either. Why bother owning, if afraid to wear.

On my GMT I have a little bit of tape on the polished part of the clasp that rubs on my desk and also a tiny amount on the last link under the flippable clasp part because it was scratching up the link.

Overkill - probably.

Congrats on the DJ. Now, in order to enjoy it fully follow the simple three step process.
1. Remove ALL stickers
2. Put it on your wrist
3. Enjoy the he** out of it!

You obviously want to be reasonably careful with your new toy, but don't let fear of, or shock from, inevitable scratches impact your enjoyment of a fine timepiece
