Diameter is very similar, it's the thickness that makes the DSSD "wear like a tuna can" as I'm sure you've heard many times. The SD43 wears much thinner particularly in the sides of the case. The slab sides are what makes the DSSD look every bit of its nearly 18 mm thickness.
