2020 Rolex card/tag/outer box question

Hey everyone, just got my first NEW Rolex, the Explorer 214270 and it's just sooooo clean! The watch came with the new style card and the AD didn't let me leave with the white tag and they told me there weren't any outer white box (the sleeve that covers the off white box). Is that the new norm or am I missing some things here? Sorry in advance if it's already been covered. Here she is! A lovely compliment to my Sub Date

It is the discretion of the AD whether you get the white plastic hang tag or not. Some keep them and some don't. Either way it has no bearing on the value of a full set. As for the white paper sleeve, perhaps they ripped it sliding it off the outer box? Like the white tag, has really no value. Don't sweat the small stuff and just enjoy the new timepiece! Cheers!

Just another silly AD game, no reason not to give those

Yeah it’s not necessary to have those. I’m sure you could grab an outer box in 30 seconds on eBay. The white tag is nice to have but it’s common for ADs to keep them. All good! Enjoy the new watch!!

OP has both boxes, green and cream color.
I believe he means the white paper "sleeve" that slides over the outer box. It is just thick white paper/cardboard. Not important.

I see no reason why they didn't give you the sleeve of the box unless they are ran out of stock.

I just got 2 new Sub. last month, they gave me everything.

Did they leave the protective stickers on the watches or remove them?

Enjoy your watch.

You will never have need for, nor is there any value in, the shipping sleeve and Dealer inventory tag.

I wouldn’t worry, you have main box, outer box and warranty card - that’s all you need.

When she brought it out to me, the watch was in the coffin. I told her to removed everything and size it for me. She put the extra links, green tag and white tag in the a little plastic bag for me.

Actually only warranty card and the box that I really need to keep.

Another person recently didn’t get a sleeve with their Explorer. Check out the thread below.

When I purchased my CHNR, I also didn’t receive a sleeve. Guess that’s somewhat common?

It’s a sleeve. Probably will add $0.02 to the value of your Rolex.

No way. You want your sleeve and shouldn't have left until she brought you one from somewhere. It has the model number on it!

I have many white sleeves for my watches and most (in fact all I think!) do not have the model number, merely the box code.....

Not a huge deal in the scheme of things.

Have to agree and in the real world just a bit of useless packaging carboard like a box or cornflakes once opened and used fit only for the recycle bin the main bit is the watch warranty and green box.

White Tag and outer-outerbox (white cardboard) has no effect on resale value if thats what your worried about ; confirmed it with several grey market dealers here in Tokyo.

Close your eyes to all worries, and enjoy your new baby!

I've never had the outer white sleeve, but have always had the hang tags both green and white. All the cards have always been present, although the bezel protector wasn't supplied and when I asked for it on the new Submariner I was told that it is removed as part of the sticker removal process and not supplied to the customer.
