A Slightly Different Road

I had the idea this year that I wanted to do something unusual and at the same time special and meaningful that I could pass on to my children. I saw Cay Broendum's work on his website, and then it occurred to me. I could commission some heirloom artwork that they will treasure for years to come. At little more than the cost of a beautiful vintage Submariner insert goes for these days, it seemed like a "no brainer". Pictured below are the results. Please note I haven't passed them along just yet... I would like to enjoy them for awhile first.

Thanks Nathaniel.
I edited my post to accurately reflect that Cay did the paintings.

I figured as much. It doesn't change anything, they are wonderful. The more I look at them the more detail I see and it becomes apparent how much work was put into these. The use of the coronet and calatrava cross in background is a nice element. I'm sure your children will love them.

Very nice and tasteful artwork to pass on. I'm sure they will treasure in years to come. Patek should be looking at that for one of their ads.

Well done.

Thanks again everyone. It was a fun project. Allan I agree. It almost looks like I took it off of their magazine.
