2017 Annual Pittsburgh GTG ! June 9-11th

Hi guys ( and gals ) !

Hope everyone is well !

I figured I'd get the ball rolling earlier this year for 2017's Pittsburgh meet !

So, Friday June 9th, and we'd all depart Sunday AM on the 11th.

I'd take a shot in the dark saying everyone will be staying at the Red Roof in Monroeville as we have been doing for years. If anyone has any suggestions, or cannot make it for these dates, please let me know !

So, who's IN ?!?!

Hi Mike
I wish to suggest a venue near the Pittsburg airport.
You will find a more hotels with better rates as well as accessibility from Ohio and Michigan as well as anyone that wishes to fly the GTG.
Happy New Year.

Hey Mark !

Ok, I'll look into some places around the airport that we can all go to.
I remember that town that we visited your AD ( on that main drag before we headed to downtown Pitt ) I forgot what town that was, but it was pretty decent and closer to Pittsburgh then where we usually stay.

Happy New Year to you as well !

Mike

Well, room isn't booked yet there per say, I'm still waiting for others to chime in to see where they'd like to stay as well.

Seems that there's quite a few others that still want to head to the old stopping grounds ( Red Roof / Monroeville area ) so before I commit to a hotel yet, I'd still like to gather where everyone would like to stay ( the usual area ie - Monroeville Red Roof, or near Pitt airport ).

My vote is still for a location near the airport.

Just talked with Doug today and he said he *might* have other plans for that weekend, and he'll let me know as the date gets closer.

Either way I'll def. be there for the 3 days no matter where we all stay. I'll even pick people up as needed.

I'm definitely interested in this. What typically goes on during these GTGs? Let me know and I'll be in!

Visits to ADs, food and drink, touring around, food and drink, sometimes a stop to the Pittsburgh famous Bloom's Cigar and did I mention food and drink?

I might be interested in joining in as i'm only a few miles south of the airport. Food and drink is always good. Do people have relationships at ADs around the area that we are planning on stopping in at?

That all sounds very fun. I have it marked in my calendar so I don't miss it.

Just another reminder the date is getting closer ! I've already booked my room at Red Roof in Monroeville checking in on Thursday June 8, and leaving Sunday June 11th.

I figure we'd follow the same itinerary as the last few years which would be as follows :

Thursday
---meet at Max and Erma's for snicky-snacks and drinkeepoos....7:30 PM ( most likely earlier than that since most usually get to the hotel around 4-5pm )
---Bob's garage after that ?

Friday
----breakfast at King's 9:00 a.m.
----Yuriys around 11.
----Cas D'oro around 1:30
----Orr's Sewickley, or find a place for more snicky-snacks and drinkeypoos.
----Dinner at NOLA (same place as last year) around 6-ish
----Adjourn to Rivers Casino for debauchery and drinkeypoos.

Saturday
-----breakfast at Bob Evans Monroeville
----Louis Anthony Jewelers around 11-ish. I will forewarn Chad the Watch guy.
----Adjourn to Shadyside, Blooms Cigars, Texas Roadhouse, or the wood-oven-baked pizza place called Anthony's Stone Pizza
----afterward, ?

Okay, I asked because I know Yuriy's has a spot downtown and a new spot in the Mall at Robinson, so I wasn't sure which.

Priorities, brother.

I was optimistic when I saw you posted here, though!

Slight change in Saturday mornings plans. Instead of Bob Evans for breakfast we're going to do Pamela's instead ( shadyside ) say around 9ish.

I booked a hotel in Cranberry Twp.
Would anyone like to go to Casa d'Oro to see Chad on Friday or Saturday?

Checked in with one of the non Rolex ADs in the Pittsburgh area.
They will offer us some "close out" prices on several watch brands.
Details at Friday breakfast at Kings.
