Hey Lisa, your City looks like THE place to be on a lovely summer night...and what better way to enjoy it then cruising around in that gorgeous car, with your gorgeous girls!

Thanks, Michelle. OKC's doing better these days than it was right after the oil bust. As for the girls, we'll just pretend they weren't bickering at each other most of the time. "She's touching me!" "I'm hot!" "She's got her legs on my side!" "Stop poking me!" "I want the front seat!" "Why can't we have french fries?"

Yep. Penn Square is still there and thriving (BC Clark, a Rolex AD, is still there) and a newish Cheesecake Factory. Penn Square is an enclosed, two level mall now. Were you here when it was one level, and open-air?

Shepherd Mall has been converted into office space. Houses some gov't agencies and insurance cos.

I found 2 pics that are from the movie "Easy Rider"

One is where they Wyatt wants to get a room but when he see's that he got long hair and then turns on the no vacancy sign
The other is where the Esso gas station was but has been torn down and a brick building is in its place.
These are on the old U.S. 66 in summer of 2005
Some Guy told me that 4-5 people a day come around looking for where Easy Rider was filmed.

They'd love knowing that! My cousin works at the Penn Square location - I'll tell her.

Thanks. 1963 was the last year for the rounded body style. In '64 they became pretty squarish - but still great looking cars, especially the convertibles.

That's a movie I have yet to see... but will, especially after seeing the pics.

Rain Man was filmed along Rt. 66, too - some of it was shot in Guthrie and El Reno. The set makers even created an aged looking neon sign and put it on an old motel in El Reno, and last I heard it's still there.

Easy Rider is about two hippies.....who are not violent.....and become victims
at the hands of rednecks
R.W. is more like a death wish movie with Charles Bronson

Kind of you, Greg. There are a couple more I need to get - Kaiser's Ice Cream shop, VZD and the old Plaza area. Maybe tonight.
