This guy knows what’s really up I agree and I’m close with a person who works at ad outside of work this is true

You may not want to hear this, but I’d very strongly recommend you not buy anything from Tourneau. Nothing. Plus, Shreve and co is right down the block on Post just off union square.

And yes, I’ve bought from tourneau, and had my watch ‘serviced’ at that Westfield location (they broke it and it cost me $850 to have it fixed). Tourneau is the bottom of the barrel.

Rolex is not publicly traded, therefore they can disseminate information as they choose.

I agree that this is not usually the way Rolex typically operates, but something seems to be going on with Rolex that is non-traditional.

Totally agree! Been to the AD last week and the only sport model on show was the Yacht Master Two Tone RoseGold, and 1 Sky two tone. No sub, no gmt.

Amazing you can’t even find a SS Sub or GMT and any AD these days. Their sport displays are so limited to PM pieces it’s ridiculous.

So it maybe this message is segmented to either geography or AD size? (measured by volume).

Just reflecting on your experience vs. some others.

This is the same feedback I received from a few ADs I’ve visited recently.

I highly doubt that Rolex notified all ADs in writing that they cut back production of all professional model watches. It doesn’t happen like that.

Nice one Adam.

So, you seem to know how it doesn't happen so how does it happen?

Good question my friend. I don’t know for sure to be honest. But we know that letters did not go out, so there was no formal announcement to the ADs. Maybe via small talk with their contacts at Rolex?

Why does it make sense to cut production of the SS models? Just curious.

Good job.

This thread has almost become a “ban him” honeypot as the bad actors are attracted to the sweet nectar of an audience for their invectives.

That, and a chance to hit 2000 soon

Yea

The annoyed remain annoyed, but even more so; buyers and ADs annoyed alike.

Only the grays are having fun.

Those who could care less, care even less.

That’s all the news I have seen while reading dozens of threads about the drought.

well, this is really pathetic. Finally I had my second kid graduating from college and was thinking of buying my second Rolex 114060 or a GMT, and all I find are prices 2K or more than what I saw a couple years ago...

They are going to lead ADs out of busines. The mall 'rent' is not getting any lower for the Rolex dealer

I;m fine with a price increase as long as they can improve supply. Grey market selling some hot models for as much as double the retail price (yes that's you BLRO). I wouldn't mind even a 15% price increase as long as supply is there.

Rolex wants to be the new Patek. Dusting off quantity and working to keep quality.
