Called a local Tudor AD today, Basel releases are popular

They said they currently have 41 pre-orders (full payments) for the Tudor GMT and about 25 pre-orders for the Fifty-Eight. They said the first shipments arrive in July but they'll be getting new shipments every 3 weeks until the pre-orders are filled which could be into September.

It's nice to see Tudor actively trying to meet demand.

Nice to see lots of interest in Tudor. The Black Bay and now the GMT and Fifty-Eight models are all winners. You get a lot of watch for the money. The Tudor GMT is on my radar. Cheers!

Sounds great for used buyers, flood the market approach. Why buy new?

Wow Tudor is really kicking some butt in the mid-range watch market. The TAGs of the world better be watching their backs...

Tudor would be mad not to take advantage of all this swirling interest and I'm sure Rolex are not aggrieved either, better here than Omega.

I think I’ll try my luck as a walk-in buyer for the 58, no way I’m putting 100% down deposit though.

What will these sell for on grey market or used? 10%, 20%?

Not sure I’m buying that....what’s next-Tudor is going to start limiting the SS supply to ADs. I too asked my AD about Rolex Basel interest (you all know the answer), when I asked about Tudor, he just laughed.....

Thanks I will have to check them out. My only experience in that area was De Boulle and I'll not be going back there.

Popular models I’m sure but these will probably become easily available by the end of the year. Are they really that in demand outside the forums, I think not.

41 pre payments is shocking. Especially since i don't think its going to be hard to get after the initial rush so i wouldn't pre pay myself so that means there is probably more interest than the number suggests.

I do think Tudor has a new strategy though going forward... mirror Rolex Basel releases with a similar one of their own. It seems to be working.
