New SS Pepsi Try On

I saw in the comments of this article (https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/ro...26710-blro-new) that "Rolex will have the new watches at the authorized dealer May 12th for try-on."

I'm curious as to whether this poster was speaking of his local AD, or that applies to all ADs? Looking forward to trying this beauty on!

There seems to be a travelling roadshow, there will not be a SS BLRO at each dealer simultaneously. My local show is on May 17.

Many ADs, Especially boutiques hold a Basel release event where the new introductions are available to view and try on but not for sale. That's likely the case.

these are traveling road shows to select large ADs and mostly boutiques. the watches are not working watches but you can try them on for size (weight will be lighter as well since there is no working movement)

NYC is Apr 26

This ^^^. They usually start happening the first week of May depending on where you are located.

May 2nd is my AD’s event date. Looking forward to it. Champagne, canapés and watches, what’s not to like.

Sadly, my AD said they will not be doing one : "As a company we don't have an event planned, a lot of times for my understanding these events normally do not feature the new introductions, mainly because the introductions tend to arrive and hit the U.S. in the early fall season , I was told that these events are generally used as sales promotions and show pictures only. I have your name on a order and once received I will definitely call you."

Do you need an invite to attend these? Or can you just walk in? I'm a few blocks from the NYC boutique, I'd love to stop in and see them in person.

The AD I use is having a formal seated dinner, my wife and I have been invited and places are invite only. It is being held in the function room of a local stadium.

Previous functions have been held in galleries etc.

Good to know, though I'll admit I'm disappointed. I doubt I'll ever get to try on a Pepsi given the demand, let alone see one in person.

I was just talking a few days ago to my Boutique salesguy. He says they will send out email invitations for RSVP. I suggest you stop by your’s and express interest.
PS: I jokingly asked if their will be a “waitlist” to try on the SS Pepsi, he said it wouldn’t be too crazy crowded. On a less thrilling note he said they’ve been warned that supply will likely be slim through this year. The past two years they got “bonus allotments” of Basel releases early on but probably not this year.

I believe it’s by invite. The boutique is 4/27 in nyc and Wempe is 4/30.

It’s actually 4/26 at the Rolex Boutique (not 4/27) by invitation only

Although the watches don’t work I believe they are the correct weight even though there is no movement.

The Midlands region one is the 16th for this chain. I don’t believe it’s a sit down meal though
