I am seriously considering joining the AP club later this year/early next year.
I am in love with the SS white dial 15400.

Ran across this photo and curious about the love that exists or doesn’t for the TT version.

I’ve never liked two tone watches from any brand and I really don’t like this particular AP either.

For the 15400, you have to go either full SS or full gold. TT only works well on Rolex in my opinion.
Also, for some reason the 15400 TT reminds me of the 70's era Oysterquartz 17013, which for some reason I can't bear to look at (although the 15400 TT is really much nicer compartively).

I used to own a 17013

But I hear you, not the best Rolex. I parted with it for a reason...

Rolex make better TT bracelets, more smooth and fluid, AP and PP are too spotty.

I personally like the AP TT a lot. Resale market looks to be very soft on it though.

I saw this model in the metal a few weeks ago. Really liked it but not my style. I can tell you that when the light reflects off the rose indicators and bezel onto the silver dial it give the appearance of a rosey/ champagne color dial.

My preference would be either SS or all gold. Usually not a fan of any TT but the AP 15400 line kind of works and same goes for the new Vacheron Overseas TT.

If think of it, Genna’s own preference was TT on the Royal Oak.

I will say I tried on the TT and I actually did quite like it.

That being said I prefer the all stainless or all gold.

Have tried on both. I think the two tone is very nice, though I prefer SS. If you have the moolah and you like it, go for it!

I will chime in as many others have. I will not touch a TT watch at all. I prefer SS / White Gold / Platty over Gold variations as well.
