Newly-acquired Milgauss Z-Blue!

Hello, hello!

I don't post here much, but when I do... it's a new watch! I acquired this baby while I was on vacation in Portugal last week.

I got a 10% discount and should be getting the VAT refund back — not a bad deal!

Honestly, if you asked me a few days earlier what watch I saw myself buying next, the Milgauss (especially the Z-blue) would have been the last thing to come to mind.

Lately, I had just been looking for a simple watch — steel, sporty, can be worn anywhere and anytime — but I've found the bezel sport watches (GMT, Sub) had dials that were too small in comparison to this and found the Datejust too flashy.

I was also turned off by the Milgauss with a black dial because, well, there are so many black-dial watches out there. And so many of my own watches have black dials. On top of all that, I had never really paid attention to the Milgauss; I just didn't get it. And I didn't find it appealing or special.

I tried (very) hard to like the Airking, but I was not able to. And the Explorer was a tad too small. Then suddenly, I looked at the Milgauss Z-Blue, then I went back to my hotel and read about it, then went and looked at it again. Then read some more, and on the third day it was mine!

So far, I love it! The green crystal and the fact that the blue is nice and bright during the day but quite reserved at night. I like the bigger dial (vs. the Sub and GMT), and the seconds hand (quirky as it may be) gives it character!

What are your thoughts? Please share your love for this model!

Congrats, I love mine too. I just recently wrote up a thread about adding a half link to the bracelet since the Easy link tends to be either too big or too small. Wear it in good health my friend.

One of my favorites. Would get this over a lot of watches in the Rolex line up. Congrats on a beautiful z blue!

Awesome watch! My buddy has the white dial one and he wears it like he found it, and it still turns my head.

Absolutely gorgeous.
I saw one in person today, the dial is amazing.
It's colorful for sure, but still leans more toward dressy than casual.
Unfortunately the dealer refused to give a discount. With tax as well, no way.

Congrats, and a great deal! The Milgauss is always in the back of my mind.

If you don't mind me asking, how hard was it to negotiate the discount?
