For "Dapper" men.
A fun 'YouTube' item.
Sven will sort you out. He's got a bunch of these. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqAxHC_ewa4

This guy is a little extreme on some of his points, but generally good advice even though I break some of his rules with impunity.
If I ever have questions on what to wear, my go to source is Ask Andy About Clothes.

I also only made it a minute into the video. These are what he was suggesting you DO wear. Also, when a video has almost as many dislikes as it does likes, that's typically not a great thing. |

Pigeon toed Gramma shoe wearing guy who spends more time in vintage tie shops than at the gym. Thanks for the solid advice sir. I'm good.

"A self respecting man never wears flip flops in public."
What a douche! I stopped there. The fact he has 17k dislikes says something. Reminds me of the saying "Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one and the world is filled with them." He also reminds me of a quote attributed to General James Mattis, "When you men get home and face an anti-war protester, look at him in the eyes and shake his hand. Then, wink at his girlfriend because she knows she’s dating a pussy." This dude checked his man card a long time ago. Alpargatas? Uh, yeah...

Pigeon-toed "Alpagartas" - possibly the ugliest shoe I have ever seen.

They'll call that "slim fit." Right up their with "skinny jeans" for men.
How effeminate can this country become?

My friend is Princeton grad, Columbia business school and manages hundreds of millions for a hedge fund. I was visiting his custom built home in Greenwich CT and he was wearing sandals What a dummy! He definitely looks less smart. Well he does wear an Omega.

I think he confused flip-flops with baseball caps on backwards. Baseball caps on backwards make one look less smart, as in dumb. Especially when the wearer lifts his hand up to shield his eyes from the sun.

All those opinions on style and he still wears light brown shoes with a blue suit. C'mon dude! I was waiting for him to go into which buttons to leave undone on a vest. Hint: the answer is NONE of them.

I didn't watch the video but personally I never wear sandals in public. unless I am at a pool, beach, or locker room. Yes, apparently many flip flop wearers are awesome and are walking to a Patek boutique, but I'm still not sold on exposing my hairy feet to the general public

yeah not sure what the guy you quoted was getting at. if you have billions and wear sandals you still look like a fool lol but the good thing is you don't have to care that you look like a fool
