I thought I lived in the Netherlands...

But it appears that I actually live in the Sahara desert.
If I'm not online next week it is safe to assume I died from a heat stroke.

-end of rant-

Probably not, I know the UK hates heat just as much as I do, so I'm hoping it won't.

We're getting 41 C next Thursday (that's 105 F), and it keeps rising as the day approaches. It can reach nearly Las Vegas levels of dry heat here. And summer has just started. Pool time.

My bedroom is an attic room, and there's no AC in the house. I might consider putting up a tent in the garden to sleep in

We had low 90s since about mid May here. Last two days were in 60/70s, what a relief!

How can you run in heat like this? I feel weak and nauseous if I go on a run in this weather.

Hey Bas, I follow the simple rule. When conditions are difficult, just go a little bit slower and you will finish stronger.

Supposed to be 40 C/104 F in Paris on Thursday....

For those chiming in on how wonderful hot weather is, remember that almost no one has air conditioning at home in this part of the world. Public transport? No. Restaurants? Majority don’t. Even most commercial centers/malls barely cool things.

So when it’s too hot, there’s no escape.

You're a stronger man than I ever will be. I'll hide in the fridge until this is over

Think I'll just go for 5am runs instead of after work
