my brief adventure to HSWA
In comparison to various Rolex(s) i own, the rotor 'whir' from my 5671 is very noticeable. I can hear the whir from about a foot away in a normal office environment. Not knowing if this is normal to this particular movement, I called HSWA. The person I spoke with on the phone asked me to bring it in so they can check to see if everything is in order.. the rotor might be off the rack (whatever that means).
As most of you probably already know, after 9/11 most office buildings in NYC require visitors to present a photo ID. Unfortunately I left my wallet home today. Fearing a wasted trip (took morning off from work), I half jokingly offered the security guards my daytona as collateral. They laughed but shook their heads. Grasping at straws, I then asked them to call HSWA if they can send someone down to pick up the watch. To my surprise, an older gentleman (British) in a nicely fitted suit came down to talk to me. He then asked the guards if they mind him escorting me up. Unlike RSC's feel of fast food counter..I was escorted to an small private room. The atmosphere is properly similar to 007 withdrawing funds from a numbered account at a bank in Switzerland. A minute later, Patrick came out to assist me. I offered him the paperwork which he said was unnecessary. He came back 15 mins or so later and says 'good news, your watch is working perfectly'. He then went on to elaborate why the 324 is an improvement over 315.. re gear thickness, power reserve, etc. Most of this technical stuff is over my head so I just nodded and smile politely like most Asians. I was a teeny weeny bit disappointed that they didn't offer me an espresso! Maybe perhaps if I had a watch like Brian's 5960...... oh btw... the time sheet pos rate BE AMP vb -003 0.1 281 bg +001 0.2 286 vh +003 0.0 287 vd -002 0.2 283 hb +005 0.1 314 hh +003 0.0 304 DEL 008 0.2 033 moy +001 0.1 293 Ting |

Glad to hear they treated welland everything turned out to be fine.
In actuality I'm not a bit suprised that they did treat you so well.
