Diamond Bezel

Looking to add a factory diamond bezel to my wife's 279160 (28mm datejust). AD says this is not possible. I was under the impression RSC could swap bezels, change dials, etc.

RSC will not change parts on models that would change the original model number.

This model number would code out to a SS watch with smooth bezel. You could change the dial because many dials would available for this model, but not any other bezels.

Naturally, if you source a bezel yourself for the 28mm DJ, it would easily swap out.

But if you source a bezel yourself and swap it out, Rolex will not service it with the new bezel. Right?

Rolex will service any Rolex watch that does not have aftermarket parts on it. If the sourced bezel is an authentic Rolex part, they will service it.

The idea that Rolex always returns a watch to it's original configuration is a myth. Rolex has a rich history of Dealers mixing parts to meet customer expectations, although today Dealers are little more than sales kiosks.
