I thought about getting one for a trip i went on that was in a high crime part of the world...
they sell them all over nyc. look kinda cool but feel pretty cheap. |

LOL - Thanks all. I'd never heard of them either but I kind of had the same reaction to the over the top styling (IMHO) on some of the models. My wife was telling me about them - and I guess they're all the rage - from somebody's fashion perspective. Marketing is a really amazing thing sometimes!

First time I saw one was when I was walking through Neiman's. It was the one that looked like the LV. I actually saw the same style out in the wild on a girl.

Supposedly some have ceramic bands - so they're super lightweight. Some are up to 1500 USD - wow. I'm more intrigued how these things seemingly come out of nowhere - more than the mechanics of the watch itself. Kind of reminds me of a Swatch in the '80s.
