It's the real deal. Announced a few weeks ago.

All the specs are here: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/om...er-introducing

Wow - thanks, I missed that announcement.

Cant believe Omega didn't save this beauty for Basel.

As stated, it's real. They have announced the watch as a lead up to Basel. No word on actual availability at this time. I think it has a Tin Tin vibe to it and pretty fun! I also read they shaved some of the thickness off of the front and case back crystals to thin the watch a bit.

Thanks - the Hodinkee article says to visit Omega online for more info, but the official Omega website has no reference to this watch at all.

Very frustrating!!

I'm really looking forward to seeing this watch in the flesh. The omega CEO (Raynald A) was wearing it during the HODINKEE Speedmaster event some weeks back. Check out the photos on the site and you can see it on his wrist. At the same time watch base has published (without pictures) another 5-6 watches with the new 9900 MC movement on Speedmasters.

I'm really keen on getting a Dark Side of the Moon as well but am holding out for the inevitable change to the MC movement.

Watchbase also published a Planet Ocean ceramic chronograph with this new movement, which will be announced in Basel.

It's gonna be a very exciting Basel this year!
