Tudor 7928 Dial Thoughts

Hello all,

I'd appreciate your thoughts on this 7928 dial. It appears to have a gilt track with gilt writing, which I've never seen. After much research I haven't come up with any gilt track and gilt writing, only gilt track and silver writing, or gilt chapter ring and gilt writing. Printing seems a bit off as well, but I'm no Tudor expert by any stretch of the imagination.

Any insight by Tudor experts/connoisseurs would be greatly appreciated.

I don't like the printing either. Especially the Rotor Selfnwinding. The insert doesn't feel right to me

Dial, hands and insert is fake. Looking at the crownguards and I suspect a fake case to.

Gosh. I must finally be learning ..

On my list I had ...

No dash between OYSTER & PERPETUAL ... should I see one on a T SWISS T dial

Lower text way off correct .. size .. alignment ... font

I say fake although the top text and the rose are better efforts than some I've seen.

Hands certainly not period correct - fakees ?

And my case knowledge is just enough to be dangerous but the crown guards seem off to me.

Zerocool ... There are certainly 7928s with gilt text and gilt chapter rings. We see that mix on SWISS only dials in PCG cases for sure .

Thanks for the comments Paul. Yes, I know about Gilt chapter ring and Gilt writing. What I was referring to was a dial like this one, which seems to have a Gilt track (non chapter ring) and Gilt writing. I haven't seen that combination before nor have I found one during my research.

No dial in this config - gilt text requires gilt chapter (or water damage).

As stated above; hands, dial, insert, bezel all fake. Likely crown and unsure of case due to lack of photos
