Hmmm...

I used to have that same watch. Sold it a couple months ago here on TRF.

http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=216152

I don't remember the top of the box looking like that, but I may be wrong. I had the box and papers in a safe. I didn't pay much attention to them. Be careful. Some of those photos have been around a while. Specifically the macro taken from the side.

If you find out who is selling it, I'm sure some around here can vouch for him/her. It's a great watch. The pics don't do it justice.

That box is not an R serial number. Probably a later version from the 1990s. I can tell you that the inside of the box on my R serial looks exactly like the picture I posted.

I have seen 2 versions of the inside box for the 16520 R-series. One of them is the one you posted with the diagonal line across the box made for 80's sport models and the other is similar to the one Kevin posted. But there is only one type of the outer box and that is the crater style which is the one you posted. The one Kevin posted are only for later 90's Rolex models. Hope this helps!!

You're right on the outer box. Dug around and found this iPhone pic on my watch.

I guess I never really noticed the outer box in that great of detail. Sorry for any confusion!
