A quick search on C24 shows just about all (if not all) 15400s have the white line. My guess is a few of the first 15500s off the line were furnished with the remaining 15400 logos.

This is likely not the case. The 15400 AP logo is smaller than the 15500. The 15202, however, appears to be the same size. Perhaps the carryover is with respect to the 15202 to the 15500. In any event, this is an inconsistency, which I find bizarre given the AP brand name and associated cost for the RO.
For those who want the logo without the white line, I wonder if AP would consider this a "defect" and swap it out at no charge to the owner. |
