Is this a boutique or an AD? I might be in LA around that time so I might stop in on opening day.

According to the south coast plaza mall website it is a boutique . Still don’t have definitive opening date.

I will never understand their geographic strategy. Northern California and a vast majority of the US has zero access to any point of sales from AP. Not to speak of that the entire country Canada has no boutique at all. But OC/ LA has multiple and so does NYC ??? Why???

That's because Northern California is one of the poorest parts of the United States. No one is interested in buying luxury watches.

I asked the staff again this past Sunday, and they said "slated" to open on the 17th, so I'm not sure. I'll just show up Friday morning and see.

Just walked by the area real quick, and the front isn't even taken down yet, so I doubt they'll be open tomorrow

Definitely not open, but the construction front was slightly open, so was able to take a peek inside, and the store looked more or less done, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's within the next week or so.

Didn't get a chance to ask anybody cause it was before the mall officially being open.

What's it matter? They won't have any meaningful inventory other than an initial seed inventory (of the least "hot" pieces) anyway.

Was there today. Peeked through the cracks and it seemed completed. Perhaps just waiting for inventory and maybe workers since there seems to be a shortage all over.

lol I just called and they gave me zero love - cordial but I could not even register interest for any watches - come in the store and introduce yourself. Apparently, it's a corporates boutique though.
