15450 + Rolex Wristshots?

I’m really thinking about the 15450. Some have said it wears similarly to a 40mm Rolex (Sub or GMT). Others have said it’s tiny and originally marketed for women (and later became unisex). I’m trying to figure out how it actually is.

Anyone have a 15450 and would be willing to share some wristshots with the 15450 and their Rolexes? I have a GMT Master II, DJ36, and Explorer I 36mm.

it's closest to the daytona in dimensions. wears bigger than a dj36

here's a photo next to a rose gold daytona. keep in mind that the rose gold daytona has a bigger case than the steel and yg daytonas

It looks like the dial itself may be even slightly bigger than the Daytona. Bigger dial watches definitely make for a watch that wears bigger than the case diameter. Lighter color as well being a white dial.

15450 + Rolex Wristshots?

Here is a 15450 next to the new 36mm Explorer. The AP is noticeably larger.

15450 + Rolex Wristshots?

My 15450s compared to some others in my collection.

I’m a big fan and they wear very similar to a Daytona, particularly a black dial 116500 (dark dials wear a little smaller than the lighter dials).

I can't post pics yet but it feels very close to my OP36, slightly bigger. 157mm wrist.

IMO the 15450 was created for women and marketed as such. Unavailability of the 15400 / 15500 / 15202 led people to now consider this watch as unisex / male.

I would say stay away from it but what do i know.

Timepieces have no gender, if it looks great on your wrist, that is the one for you.

This, 1000 times this. I would only add - if *you* think it looks great on your wrist, wear it. Have fun!

I never let a marketing department tell me what timepieces I'm "supposed" to like

Yup, i like to borrow my wife's DJ 31 with pink dial and diamonds. I like how it looks on me and i dont care what other people think. Watches have no gender!

15450 is weird beast. It should work for '6 to '6.5 wrists. Above that i strongly advise to try before you buy. Its not the case thats small but the dial. Didnt work for me, to small (7+ wrists) even do i prefer classic sized watches (exp1, daytona, pre-ceramics, patek dress etc)

15450 is really a unisex piece ahead of its time.

37mm vs 41mm

I have a 7inch (or just hair under 7) wrist as well.

Which watch size do you prefer on your wrist?

Personally I think the 41mm is way too big for me.

I’m considering the 15450 (37mm RO) and the 26315 (38mm ROC).

Getting it from the boutique is another story. I’ll be making some visits in December

I have a similar sized wrist and own the 41 as well as the 38roc. I just find them different watches for different wears depending on the mood. I will add though that the 38 is more easygoing and care free, similar to a steel Rolex, albeit it will look smaller on the wrist especially initially due to dial size.

Yes its a womens watch and too small for a mans AP. Will look silly on a mans wrist. AP is supposed to have more wrist presence

There's "wrist presence" and there's looking like you borrowed your dad's watch without permission...

To be honest . The 37mm looks good on the wrist, but I have a large body size, I think the 41mm looks better in matching my overall body .

Thanks

Didn’t think about body size too as a factor

I’ve tried on the 37mm and it just looks too small in my eyes when looking at it in my wrist, esp with blue or black dial

41mm seems better but it’s a big watch but think it still fits

39mm is perfect but we all know 15202 is impossible at AD or $100k secondary market

38mm ROC is a possible middle point
