PAM 372 "marseillaise" : review and pictures

Hello all,

Here is a full review of my PAM 372 N11xx/3500.
Bought new from Frojo AD in Marseille.

In fact, it was my second PAM 372, as the AD in Monaco had also been able to provide me with a PAM 372 (N10xx/3500). So I bought the two but decide to keep only the one from Marseille.
Hence the surname "marseillaise" !
I managed to get this one thanks to french paneristi and watch enthusiasts. It was the first one I managed to order at an AD. So the story of getting this one is pretty peculiar for me.

Here are the pics.

PAM 372 N-serial 11xx/3500

Packaging and box

Unpacking, unpacking...

Watch's references

Bought from Frojo !!!

FInally, pics from actual watch...

Some more...

The plexi glass is simply A W E S O M E
And magical !

Let's have a look at the sapphire case back.

At last, here are some wristshots, showing yow nice the watch stands on my wrist...

Thanks and don't hesitate to post comments.
;)

Congrats! Glad that you're enjoying it! I'm an oddball and I hated mine. Sold it away the next day it arrived. :O

I'm sorry to ask, but in the 6th and 7th picture, what is the plastic container that looks to be holding little black disks??? Totally lost on what that is...

Many thanks.

Correct answer !
The PAM 372 is sold and delivered with a second plexiglass, in case you need to change it !

Nice.

Say do all new PAMs have serial numbers engraved between the lugs?

That's odd. Plexi crystals need to be changed at every service if you want to rely on a watch's watertightness. Rolex would just slap a new and correct crystal in. This makes me nervous about whether or not Panerai is committed to keeping proper crystals on hand for years to come if they're giving an extra one up front.

Thanks for all comments.

Regarding the second plexi crystal, my opinion is Panerai did make a "marketing trick" with this watch.

As it is supposed to refer to vintage Panerai watches, which were with plexi crystals, they had the good idea to sell the PAM 372 with a second plexi, in order to make people more confident in buying such a watch with a crystal nowadays said to be less resistant to scratches than sapphire crystal !

So, just a little trick to satisfy paneristis' passion, nothing to do with assuming future after-sales service for this model.

Great shots. It is such a special piece!

At first I was shocked that a (self-respecting) Frenchman would drink Starbucks coffee but I then realized that you were on a flight! :-)
