Rolex sightings on my trip

On the flight to Fla last Thurs, the guy in the aisle across from me had on a White Dialed SS Daytona. He was young and it was real. Didn't get into conversation with him though. In south Fla, a Rolex is like nothing to them. Every place you looked, someone has one on. All shapes and sizes. TT, SS 18kt. Went to Hamilton's jewelery store in the PGA mall in the Lakeworth-Jupiter area. They had one of every model Rolex in one variation or another, with the exception of an LV and a SS Daytona. The girl said these come in and they make phone calls and they go. She was very nice and not pushy. She asked what my next one was going to be and I told her a SS/Plat YM someday. In the Cleveland airport yesterday I saw two of these, one black GMTII and one FAKE balck dialed Daytona. I guess when you're not used to seeing then everyday you really don't know how many people have them.

Isn't funny how we stare at other peoples wrists? I do it all day long.

I love some good watch browsing too, always fun to see the different models.

At first I thought I was weird for doing it but now I look at it like this. Women always check out other women's diamonds right? I just think we are more discreet about it

"This is your pilot speaking, will the crazy man standing in his chair winding his green watch, please sit down and wait for the air marshall to escort you off the plane after landing."

Daren, I would imagine in your line of work you see an aweful lot of nice watches. Do your clients generally have 'expensive' watches on their wrists?

Here in Texas I see tons of DJ's and DD's. It is pretty odd too that most of them wear them like a Sub while they are taking lessons.

I do have two students that are watch guys. Neither one ever wears a Rolex, although both have multiple in their collection. One wears an AP Roo for his daily and the other wears a VC OS Chrono, that baby is SWEET!!

When I come on a holiday to Dallas, which one should I come with - the YM or the Exp-II?

As if you'll still have the ExpII by the time you go state-side.

Well, Johnny, in all honesty, I am really in love with this black beauty. You were right from the start, must admit that. It is a fascinating combination and contrast of the black dial with the silver brushed bezel. Very nice!!

Wear neither JJ.Just wear the kitchen clock on a belt so D will recognise you and feel comfortable that your wearing something similar to the Panny.

Remember, things are always bigger in TEXAS.

Hey, the Pannies may be large, but they look alot better than a wall clock. Although I do get asked often if I am wearing a wall clock on my arm.
