Interesting that they are doing a 10 minute purchase window. People on IG are asking if they can make 10k watches if they sell that many in the timeframe but I would think the number would be closer to the 2k Ming sold in their 10 minute window release recently. (or less since the brand is not as hyped as Ming) I also find it interesting that they believe they can get the watches they sell out the door much much quicker than Ming with orders starting to go out a month after the release.....so hopefully no 1 year wait like with Ming! I’m still waiting on my Chrono 2 but I’m likely in on this release as well.

According to their faq, they have started production earlier this year before this announcement.

I saw that as well. I wonder how they are gauging how many to start on or fully make before the release. My guess would be around 500 or so since they’ve sold those quantities without any problems on past releases.

I wonder how pink the dial will be in the flesh and if it would be a little too feminine looking. I've been looking to get my first kurono but this dial color wouldnt be the most versatile imo.

Love this new approach by both Ming and Kurono to give a 10-minute window to all collectors. If you genuinely desire a reference, you can't have an excuse later. The 10-minute window also ensures that the production will still be limited.

I remember reading that their last Chronograph (Chronograph 2) had a purchase queue of 7000 people. So even if they started off making 1000 units, I think they'll be fine.

That said, I'm going to try to get one of these too. I think the dial is lovely.

I got a Chrono 2 and it sold out in around 3 minutes and they had an edition of 500 with 100 for the Japanese market and for “contributors” which means about 400 pieces in 3 minutes. If you assume they will be able to process the same amount of orders as Ming did in the 10 minute timeframe we might be able to assume this would be an edition of around 2000 as I mentioned above. If they can’t process those numbers it might be around 1500 in my opinion.

Kurono seem to ship out from Singapore, iirc. My friend here in SG got his delivered a day after he made final payment for Grand Akane. On IG, Singaporeans are usually the first to post NWAs too. Look at Kurono Terms & Conditions of Sales, Section 18.

That’s something you are going to have to decide for yourself. I’m a bit worried about the small size as well but I think for a dressier watch it will work and I don’t have a huge wrist. There’s plenty of wrist pics on TRF as well as the web on the other color variations in this case.

My only concern as well, although I do think it suits the watch's overall proposition.

Would prefer 38mm but 37mm is fine too for a dress watch. Really excited to get one!!!

So until 100 years ago, pink was considered the 'masculine' colour to clothe male children.

Any gendering of colours is entirely arbitrary. Wear what you like.

Wow interesting fact. Did a Google search and learned something new today. Thanks!

Still thinking if i should take the plunge for this though, but probably will to add some diversity to the collection. If i don't like it, off the the wife or my daughter in future.

Very cool. Thanks for the heads up. Hope to be able to snag one. :)
Love the dial. Nothing in my case like that. Should be fun to have a nicer strap made for it too.

Dammit - this keeps popping up on my Instagram feed, and now I really want it! Love the dial color and the overall aesthetics of this piece. And time-limited ordering means I might actually be able to get one.

There are just too many beautiful watches out nowadays. Now I've gotta think about what to sell to make space for this...
