Does it make sense that my 15400 is typically ahead 5 min?

I noticed that almost every time I set the time on my 15400 after a few days it is already 5 min ahead, and I want to say it stays like that. Does this make any sense?

I think you can service it. How long have you used it since you purchase it or last service? I think the normal is -1 to +10 sec per day. So after a few days you shouldn’t notice a big difference, but after a month it may be a few minutes ahead…

5 min or 5 sec?

If it is 5 min. in a few days, it's way too much, it's time for service to regulate.

AP's timekeeping is typically all over the place - my 15400sr regularly gains 5 minutes after 4-5 days and yes it probably is due to magnetism but still, pretty disappointing for a watch as this price point.
They don't have the reputation of keeping good time in general.

Nope, probably coincidence.

Typically, if a watch is going to be 5 minutes fast in a few days, it would be 10 minutes fast after the same interval, and so on; so if all you see is 5, we need to look elsewhere.

Often folks use their cell phone or computer to set a time, and those re-set themselves based on whatever signal they are getting at that time. Analog watches don't change, they will tick happily along at whatever they are set, mechanically, to do.
