I like the bezel on the MAD explorer II. That anodized black steel would look great on a current model explorer II. Would fit better (both esthetically as from a tool watch point of view) then ceramic bezel photoshops that is sometimes posted in advance of Basel 201x “under the “what would you like to see at Basel 202x”.

I personally don’t understand touching the dials. But i could order one ’tattoo’ Rolex for myself. It takes 100-150 hours of engraving, so cost is double the watch cost.

In my opinion, I think DLC or any "customized" Rolex pieces are abominations. It's like buying a piece of original art and painting over the canvas. You just don't do that.
With that said, it is your watch and your choice! If you enjoy this look then go for it. I personally would just buy another watch with the style you're seeking rather than ruin your existing piece. Check out a blue Pelagos or something of that nature. |

Sorry, I just don’t like mods. While Blaken and Titan Black do a first class job it is expensive and voids the warranty. I have a Rolex because I want an original Rolex. There are plenty of other brands with a vast number of choices. Of course it is your choice, but I tend to think a weird color is something I might get tired of. Let us know what you do..

those wouldnt be for me. But it is for you. Traditionalist will hate the idea. you obviously know that there is absolutely zero resale value left in those watches. But if you want something unique that is completely YOU, then I say go for it. we only live once in this short life and why be like everyone else? please post pics of your watch when it arrives. Good luck. dp |

I copped the most horrific case of poisoning in Cairo about ten years ago and spent two days on the toilet. I disagree.
Back to the OP, they got the MAD part right. The orange dial GMT but the Explorer is ghastly and looks like something you’d buy in Toys R Us. Hideous creations.

The only way I would agree to having a rubber band instead of the metal is if I had to work with my hands as a mechanic, builder, etc. The watch that you posted reminds me of a watch I use to get at Berger King kids club. I always love original not aftermarket things, this is my opinion and taste.

Blue dial Exp II looks pretty cool to me.
Do only if you can keep the original dial. |

ive seen worse ,,, but ,
think of a the cost and b the resale. add the two together then buy one of those plastic jelly dive watches , wear it for a week , and see if the idea is still as appealing. |

Bit of a mismatch with the modern dial and hands don't you think? Nice work for noisy long things we can't mention though.

Looks like a horrible fake. I can see some small tweaks but this is just in poor taste. Buy an omega they come in every color.

Isn´t that a regular black dial 16570 just reflecting a light though?

Yes Daniel that's actually an Explorer II 16570 circa 1997 but apparently fitted with a custom coloured blue sapphire dial by a specialist company called " Wanna Buy a Watch " located at Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, CA
