Tudor Tiger not self winding

I have a Tudor Tiger that I have owned for about 14 years. The watch has always been reliable until recently. I am curious if anyone has ever experienced this situation with their automatic movement.

If I wind the watch daily it runs perfectly for about a day or day and a half. If I do not wind it will stop working (keep in mind I am wearing the watch daily). The movement in the watch for some reason does not seem to be keeping its end of the bargain. I heard it could be a broke main spring. I just had a full service completed and main spring replaced but upon wearing the watch for two days it has sadly stopped again.

If anyone has any thoughts, please share.

Thank you!

David

No, it would not be a broken mainspring.

If it is an auto-wind, it is the rotor or reverser wheels not engaging. These can come disconnected; I would take it back to whoever did your service.

Sounds suspicously like you had someone service it who either didn't use Rolex parts. Rolex and virtually all reliable workmen will warrant their service for at least one year. If the person who serviced it doesn't warranty his/her work, find someone else.

Broken mainspring = watch stops dead

It's the the fuel tank falling out of your car, you'll notice immediately & you ain't going nowhere after that.

Thank you for the replies! My watch was doing this before the service that was the reason for the service. I figured if i had it in repaired the service should be done while in there since it had been 6 years or so. I have taken the watch back and will post the findings.

Thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts.
