Trade

Should I trade my 5711 Blue and my rose gold DD40 Green dial for a white dial 5980/1A plus cash my way?

I’ve had the 5711 since new for a year and a half and it’s only been worn a handful of times due to it feeling very delicate compared to my Rolex and AP.

The gold DD40 does get worn but I’m not sure that gold suits me or my lifestyle.

How old is the 5980 and does it come with warranty?

Nope. I'd keep the 5711 and sell the DD for an AP Royal Oak chrono or Offshore.

2012 and only a warranty from the selling dealer not Patek.

Already have an AP Royal Oak, although am tempted by an openworked.

The 5711 was bought unseen since my AD offered me it and has pretty much not been worn which is why I’m thinking about letting it go.

Let it go while it is so high, and buy something you will love and wear. Just my 2p!

If you dont wear the 5711 then sell and maximize the value but be sure you wont miss it because you will pay dearly to reacquire one

I think it is a reasonable deal if there are offering £7K in your way plus the 5980 is not as delicate as the 5711

I wouldn’t. The white 5980 is the least desirable. Make it 10K to you.

I would keep what you have, too much to give up, if you must I'd find a blue 5980.

Nah because I don’t really fancy the 5980.

Whatever about this trade, I agree with the above to let the 5711 go now at a high price (it may go higher, it should go lower) as it sounds like you don't wear it.

Not a big fan of the 5980, it's way too fat. If I want a fat Watch I'd buy an AP.

I would think you’d get more money your way. A lot more.

I think its a very fair deal - just make sure you like the 5980 white dial enough to let go of two fantastic watches in exchange

I sold my white dial 5711 ago and never regretted it once. It's cool but I wish I held onto longer only to make more off of it honestly. The 5980 in white is fantastic. LOVED mine.
