Hello from NJ!
I got a GMT II "Pepsi" about five years ago as an anniversary gift.
I absolutely love it- now. At first, I found it a bit heavy for my wrist as it's a lot to tote around. However, after a week on constant wear, I found myself loving it..the look the feel, etc. I simply used it as a watch as I didn't touch the other time zones, etc. However, it took some getting used to and now, it's a must! I was also apprehensive of the Rolex connotation and image. Was I a "Rolly" person? I'm not rich and I do not have an extravagant lifestyle. Perhaps I was too self-conscious. However, the watch with a suit or a t-shirt & jeans is just fine! I also have a 15 year-old pre-owned Brietling (I forget which model) which is all green- face+band. I'm reaching for the GMT everyday now. I must say that I visit TRF on a daily basis. I've never seen a more passionate group of forum members! Yours in time...
