Met an olive 5711/1300A in the wild…

This watch was truly breathtaking in real life. At first I thought the dial was black, but under brighter lighting the olive green popped out.

I won’t say much other than that the owner is a real gentleman with a substantial and diverse collection (I’m not just taking Nautiluses, I’m talking major grand complications, rare handcrafts, etc.). I feel honored to have come across this piece in real life on its owner’s wrist!

Yup, in that pic I'd prefer the white.

That is bad@$$....and a serious VIIIP to boot because I hear some ADs don't even get the baguette version. Crazy opportunity to see it in the flesh, thanks for sharing OP.

one word - amazing

Haven’t seen many incoming posts yet - I have also heard that they are super rare and that not all ADs were allocated one

I’d take the white all day over a diamond bezel.

+2. White dial version was always my personal favorite. And I'm not a fan of diamonds on a men's watch in general (and definitely not on the bezel).

+3.

Don't like the green one with diamonds. I'd much rather have a 5711/111P-001 with blue sapphire on the bezel or the non-anniversary 5711/1P which is the king of Nautilus in my book (rather than 5740/1G).

Thanks for everyone's comments, I'm still shocked that I saw it in person!

Cheers to those who prefer my white dial. I tend to agree in a smaller collection, however the owner has ~10 other Nautiluses so there's definitely room for this beauty. He showed photos of a few heavy hitters including the original 5711/1P, the 40th anniversary 5976/1G, and the 5711/1P with dark gray dial and emeralds. I had to lift my jaw off the floor!!

Curious, were you at the AD or another watch store? Or was it just lucky trip to Walmart

lol... I suppose if you've got 10 Nautili there's room for some bling. I'd give the diamond bezel piece to my wife though.

Both in line at Taco Bell trying to get some late night crunchwrap supremes!

We met at an event at the new Vacheron NYC boutique. Absolutely beautiful space by the way

Thanks for sharing......

I like the idea of having the diamonds bezel at least you don't have to worry about the bezel scratch....

It would be perfect if it has the baguette-cut diamonds dial too.....
