Icon5 Help with Yachtmaster--> pics nside

I have been lurking and tossing around which Rolex I would like, and am leaning toward the 40mm Yachtmaster however, I have seen many variations which are not in the Rolex website.

Some have ruby's and sapphires, others with diamonds, and even others with mother of pearl and yellow gold.

My question is should i simply purchase from one of our vendors and get the Rolex serviced from them or should I buy from an AD and pay the higher price so I can get it serviced from Rolex?

I mean to say I am worried that if something does fail in my rigorous activities and my Rolex needs parts, the former seller may not be able to acquire them correct?

It is my understanding that even if you buy from one of the trusted sellers here, watch can be serviced by RSC

As long as it is a genuine Rolex, it can be serviced by Rolex. Since you are in the SF Bay Area, you can bring your watch to the SF Rolex Service Centre, which is located on the 7th floor of the Shreve and Co Building near Union Square in downtown SF.

I understand the dial must also be authentic not just the watch. This is likely what you meant though.

OK great! I'm still leaning toward the Yachtmaster for it's timeless look and great movement...

Now, I guess if I buy one of the fancier models, how will i know if it is in fact an original model, I mean if the face matches?

Thanks for the info on the Shreve company!

Good luck. Let's see some pictures when you get it.
