Now that the new Submariner is out...
What would you rather own, a new sub C or the older style. Let's take a poll and see what you hard core TRF'ers want. I'll go first...old sub.

Have the old in black but would like to add the new in blue. Would be sweet to love them both.

Nope, not all. Never got into the maxi watches. I'll stick with my trusty Sub 16610 Y serial with lug holes. Plus, $7,250 is a hefty price tag in my opinion.

Voted both. But if I had to choose between the two, I'd go with the new one - design is a matter of an individual taste but I don't think anyone can argue that from an engineering standpoint, the new model is significantly superior to the old one. So, this is like choosing between two sport car models. Which one do you want: the original model or a new one that's more powerful and encompasses new and advanced features? You might be sentimentally attached and financially constrained to the old one but provided you can get the new one or have them both, I think the choice would be clear.

I'll keep my V series 16610 and be quite happy, thank you. The new Sub is beautiful to be sure, but $7K+ is a bit too much IMHO.

I've had vintage, as well as the 16610, and 14060. The new subc is a beautiful watch. I'd have to say that all are in their own class, but the subc is awesome. It looks beautiful.
The other models are a little smaller, and have a wonderful feel. The subc has a very crisp look and stands out laying next to the older model. I love them all, but I'm very pleased with the new model. |

I voted both but if I could only have one it would be the old as I think it looks more balanced.

As I have posted several times before I do like the new Sub but not as much as the 16610. I will not be upgrading anytime soon :)

They will never ever do this because it would cannibalize the white gold sub.

Old for me, but I am resistant to change.
Who knows, the new one might warm its way to my wrist. But not in replacement of my Sub.

Personally i would go for new Sub, simply cos it is slightly larger and has the ceramic dial. as for the LV no no no no, i just can not see the attraction in a geen face and bezel. stick with black on old or new, it is just so classy.

Hi Texican, haveing owned a few TT subs the only colour to go for is the blue it just goes so well with the gold and stainless, pluss the blue seems to hold its money better. As for which blue, my personal opinion is the old blue, cos the new blue just lacks the depth.

I voted old Sub, as i currently have the SS GMTIIc, and I've also ordered a brand new 16610LV that i'm picking up from the AD next time I'm in London. Seen so many great pictures of it here on the Forum, sĺ can't wait to get my hands on it.
