Plenty of people who would do it, so the OP does not have the power here yet. Also, I do not blame the AD for trying to maximize profit.

I personally would not bundle unless I wanted the watch the other watch. I own the 126715 and love it, but would not buy it just to get another watch as it is tough to unload a $38k non “hot” model.

I also am in the minority here and do not get the strong appeal of the white dial Daytona

I never did either until I tried on a used 116520 at Tourneau. Folded in less than a month.

How ridiculous. The desperation for a frickin watch to front that cost and unnecessary effort to then offload. Obv it's difficult to shift or the dealer would of.
Ah people. Just donate if you have that much burning cash.

Yeah, I was this close to making a deal on the 126715 a couple weeks ago because the price HAS dropped in the last few weeks. I almost had one for $31,500....mint. You couldn't touch these for under like $34k or 35k until a month ago.

I would not take this deal because after you pay sales tax.....you are going to lose all the money you gained off getting the Daytona at MSRP because you won't get anywhere near MSRP for the 126715 anymore. I would rather tell the dealer that I'd buy 3 SS watches at MSRP pricing that came to the same price as the CHNR.....because you would definitely make profit off those. Tell him you will buy a Hulk, BLNR, and BLRO at MSRP along with the Daytona.

Totally with you.....I don't think the white dial is anything special at all. Not a fan of any white dial Rolex to be honest. I think they just look basic.

Absolutely not. Those guys are on the verge of bankruptcy. Tell them you can pick up the Daytona only

The only issue now would be how are you going to physically pick it up? Does your AD have a drive-thru like McD, or are they gonna toss the box through your sunroof as you slowly drive past?

This is reckless advice. In the current climate, you will loose 10k selling the full gold root beer in the secondary market.

It’s disgusting behaviour from the AD. If you have a buying relationship there should be no bundle. If you don't have a buying history then I don’t know why they don’t offer the daytona to another customer that does have buying history first, who was probably ahead in line (of the non existent line).

Unless you were waiting for the RG gmt (which is a dream watch of mine!) but now having doubts? Not really telling us the whole story

In this environment, forced bundling is an insult. These ADs act like they're doing you a favor when it is actually the opposite.

Interesting that the AD called with this offer. Do you usually bundle buy with them? otherwise would be a wild out of the blue call...But to address the question, The 126715 CHNR is a watch that if I wanted I would buy on the secondary market because you can almost always get a discount, and today on C24 there are three pages of this watch and almost two full pages are offered below MSRP. Purchased as a bundle, it's a high premium to get a SS Daytona. Better off just buying the white dial Daytona from a reseller if that's what you are after.

I see some AD's are still playing these silly games, stinks of desperation also. Can't wait for the whole pack if cards to come tumbling down.

Not sure if you actually know what you are talking about. The reason an AD will bundle is to increase their sales volume by moving harder to move pieces. Their highest margins are on full pm pieces which is actually why once upon a time you could get much higher discounts on these guys. The store isn’t just trying to make more money but as an AD of Rolex they need to show a certain volume to maintain their status.

So again OP I would say in these uncertain times I would definitely not do this bundle unless they are willing to budge on the pm piece.

should I buy this bundle?

If you really want the Daytona, call the guy and see if he gives you options on the bundle? Apart from the PM CHNR, are there other models you could bundle? Some models may be easier to flip even with a haircut. Like paying a small premium for the Daytona.

The RG CHNR is gorgeous. But it’s not going to be easy to move and you’ll take a hit on it. If that’s the only option, then line up a buyer in advance.

Or walk away.

For 25% off the CHNR I would give it some serious thought, if you really want the Daytona. PM at MSRP? No way. Not even with a hot SS model thrown in at MSRP.

No I would not do that deal. I would wait and look for another deal. However if you really like the 126715CHNR then go for it.

This is what I would be doing and in pre virus times I would try to line up a local forum member who would be interested in that watch and offer him maybe half the grey haircut as a discount. Win win for everybody, you get the Daytona at slightly over MSRP and you help a fellow member get his watch at a discount.

Ain’t that the truth. No way would I buy a PM model I didn’t want in this climate. It seems PM models would/should take a even harder hit now than the hot SS models simply because most couldn’t afford PM models even in good time.
In general, I detest being forced to “bundle” anything at any time. Nothing is worth that IMO.

It's better for sure. What values are considering for the solid gold trade in?

Call around. You may be surprised they offer 20% under market value and you also lose your 9% in sales tax for a grand total of more than the $7,166 premium ($21.5K - $13.15K*1.09) on a white BNIB Daytona.
