Midnight Date Change

I know a lot of folks don't care too much about the time of the date change, but I do. One of the reasons I bought Rolex was for their precision. My first Rolex was a DD40 that had the date change issue. Changing date as late as 01:30 AM, and never changing at near the same time. AD and RSC had no insight into to it either. It was only here on the forum that I learned it was an ongoing issue with the new release and not a lemon that I acquired.

So, I want to post some info incase others search for it online, because when I did there was not much info out there, so without further a-due here are a few numbers:

Sub, 116610: 11:59:50, 12:00:20, 12:00:45
Sub, 16610: 12:03:03, 12:04:00, 12:03:03, 12:03:20
DD 40: 12:07:00, 12:07:45, 12:07:50
Tudor GMT:12:01:40

Glad to see all these hold a tight range. The DD is a new one, not the early one with the issue, but still seems to lag.

I’m not sure I would expect to find very many Rolex watches that change exactly at midnight.

I can see where that is important to some people who are up at that hour on a regular basis. Something I have not thought about before. Thanks for posting!!

I had a DD40 that had date change issues. AD let me do a warranty swap for another DD40.

One should be asleep or having fun at midnight.

Then it fixed itself:

00h00m16s
00h01m06s
23h58m05s
00h01m18s
00h01m21s
00h00m26s

+ 1. Both my subs with date (Bluesy & Hulk) change at about 5 minutes past midnight.
