Seeing More Panerai

Anyone else feel like they are seeing more of them lately?

One thing that was cool Wednesday was I was in a client meeting. Myself, my two colleagues, and our client were actually all wearing Panerais. Though, I was the lone 42mm

Interesting. I never see them in the wild here in OC. Kinda funny though lots of subs and other Rolex…

Have have not seen them on the wrists of younger people. I do see them on older individuals and mostly older models.

Hopefully in a few days there will be 1 more in the US, as I have one arriving from Japan... my 2nd (I understand one is not allowed to own only 1 Panerai). In my life I believe I've seen only 1 Panerai... I was at a customer meeting a couple years ago and the Sales Manager had what I think would have been a 47mm Luminor... it looked massive, and before I was into Panerais. The President was wearing a Rolex Sea Dweller. While I have been accumulating watches for about 10 years I only "got into" Panerai this year, and now it is the only brand from which I own more than one.

This is a sure sign things are looking up for Panerai and we may finally be moving past the era of the dainty diver.

Sat next to a guy on a plane a couple weeks ago who was wearing a submersible.
First one I've seen in the wild besides my own.

I have seen one in the wild. At the local Fresh Market. Older guy and I am 45. I see Rolex's all the time. Can't swing a dead cat......

It would be nice to see a few more but where I live and my line of work Rolex and Seiko are king.

I too have been seeing more of them in the Wild and on celebrities.

For example, in the latest interview on Jay Leno's Garage, Paolo Dellacha, CEO of Automobili Pininfarina, was wearing a Panerai. So Italian!

I see very few in the wild. One of my clients has one (along with a couple dozen other high end watches), so I see him wearing his once in a while.

I haven't observed them being worn by the younger generation. However, I've noticed them on the wrists of older folks, primarily the earlier models.

Interesting as I have been noticing more and more of them on the east end of Long Island. While at a restaurant a few weeks ago, I counted at least 5 guys wearing Panerai's.

I don't see many analog watches worn by the younger generation at all. If they are wearing a watch, it is likely an Apple Watch.

I don’t see a lot of them in the wild. Though I do get some compliments when I wear my 915

I see them every once in a while when out for walks with the family at the mall (fashion show mall, on the strip). Mostly on Asian tourists.

I see one or two a year if that, which would be worn by a client at work. The last one I had seen was recent (older couple late 50s maybe). The husband was wearing his on the SS metal bracelet I rarely see being most are worn w strap’s obviously.

One of the partner’s at my firm rotates 3 Panerai. Never wears anything other than those three.
