I wore it everyday for a little over 8 years until I got my 124060 in June. I still wear it every now and then but it is due for a service and I haven’t found where I want to send it yet. We are all doing well, thank you!

Here is the thread about my new one. This one will be going to my other son.

Congratulations, you have chosen a great watch for the start of your Rolex journey.
I have a 14060M two liner, and it is a favorite of mine.

Big Congratulations! Definitely my favorite Sub. I have the 14060M and love it. You can have a lot of fun trying out various straps as many look great. In the summer my favorite is the Isofrane in black. Looks much better in person than in many photos. Really makes it look like a dive watch!

Thanks! I’ll have to look into this. Right now the bracelet is in great condition and I intend to wear it but I admit I’d be curious to try it on a strap down the road.
What tools do I need to switch back and forth between them?

Lucky you and congrats! My 14060M remains my favorite Sub. But the 124060 is also destined to become a classic.

My first Rolex was a Submariner. I engraved the caseback with my Granddaughter's birthdate as it will be given to her someday. I purchased it the day she was born.

Springbar tool and some tape to protect the lugs.

But, I actually find these bracelets trickier to put back on than those on watches without Pierced lugs as the have no cutout to accommodate the tool.

spring bar tool

It is easy to do but in my experience it helps to have the Bergeon 6767-F
springbar tool. They are easy to get and the fork end is small enough to work well for Rolex watches. Although when you order it it will say 6767-F when you get the actual product they leave the f off. Can be a little confusing.

Congrats! Trust me, after about 6 weeks your child will cry less, you’ll be in a routine and better equipped to handle stuff. Congrats on the beautiful watch but most importantly congrats on the child. Wear it in your and your child’s good health.
