Jakarta...Vintage Rolex Paradise!!!
Hi, Yesterday when I trip to Jakarta, window shopping in many watches stores I look very strange Phenomena. Many vintage Rolexes there!!!
I look some Subs (1680, 5513), GMT Masters (1675) & Explorer II (1655). I don't know exactly the price, but this really strange Phenomena for me. The seller talk to me that for vintage, the price is down lately. He can't sell his stock easily right now. Not just that many Bluesy (16613) if I'm not wong in only 1 shop, I can find 6 Bluesies!!! In every stores I look they always have Daytona at least one (white or black) ss!!! How about that? Jakarta now is vintage Heaven, specially Rolex. Wanna Shop Here, Guys? Best Regards, TR. |

Yep, vintage pieces have really taken a hit...good time to buy, bad time to sell. IMHO, prices were due for a bit of a correction.

Don't get too excited.... Alot of the pieces in Indonesia are "barstards" .... ie a mix match of genuine and not so genuine parts......
Personally I would not trust many Jakarta Vintage watch dealers...... |

Truerolexer, that sounds like it was a great time looking at all those pieces! I wish there was more vintage Rolexes to check out in my neck of the woods.
Next time you go maybe the shop owners would be cool with you taking a couple photos! |

If Indonesia is so wonderful.... why do 99.9% of Ebay sellers refuse to ship to Indonesia?

The same reason they don't ship to Italy, Africa and about a dozen other countries....tracking becomes sketchy.

archie, I've read over many of your posts and I just don't get you. Why do you feel the need to insult people left and right?
Big deal if fake watches are sold in Indonesia. They are sold all over the world. Big deal if eBayers won't ship there. You're just stereotyping people left and right. EDIT: And what on Earth does the night life have to do with anything? If you were decent enough to stay away from those areas, you wouldn't even have to worry about that.

So what kind of price might I expect to pay for a nice 1680 over there for instance?
